Secret Gardens’ Head Gardener To Give Plants For Free Talk

Steve Edney, head gardener at The Secret Gardens Of Sandwich, will be giving an informative talk and demonstration entitled Plants for Free at Brogdale’s Apple Festival this Sunday October 24.

The talk, which will be taking place at 2.45pm will cover how to successfully take cuttings, and how best to collect and store seeds at this time of year.

Steve Edney has held a passion for gardening for as long as he can remember. After qualifying as a tree surgeon from Hadlow College, the Secret Gardens’ head gardener turned his hand to all things plant-related. When he came on board at the Lutyens-Jekyll walled garden in Sandwich it was a desolate and neglected space. Now, just five years later, it is one of the most stunning gardens in the county.
